Here’s What Valley College Graduates Have to Say…
Curious about what our former students think? Read about why our graduates enjoyed attending Valley College.
...the staff believed in me more than I believed in myself.
One thing I particularly loved about serving our country was my sense of commitment and family. When I came to Valley the staff believed in me more than I believed in myself. I was able to find that same sense of family that I had been missing. The day I completed the Medical Clinical Assistant Program was a happy day, but it was a sad day leaving my Valley family. Valley College has been the only place on the civilian side of life, that I get the same sense of family and teamwork.
...the encouragement did not stop...
When I started at Valley, I thought the staff was “lying” to me. They kept saying things like “You can do this,” or “You are smart,” or “You’ve got this.” I thought they were saying this to everyone, so it had no meaning. BUT, the encouragement did not stop, and the grades starting coming. Along the way, I learned that everyone has value despite their mistakes. I started figuring out who I was and eventually became myself; another unique, special person that can make people laugh and encourage them the way the wonderful people at Valley still do for me and each other.
All of the Valley instructors helped guide me along the way...
None of my family has ever graduated from college. I wanted to challenge myself, and I wanted to be an example for my kids. I wanted them to see me graduate and show them that hard work pays off. I had to believe in myself that I could do it. All of the Valley instructors helped guide me along the way and motivate me, which helped me succeed. Do your best, try hard and don’t procrastinate. Anybody can succeed if they put forward the effort!
The encouragement I received from staff and students was what helped me the most.
I was at a point in my life that I wanted to make a difference in other people’s lives and I wanted to be the kind of mother my children could be proud of. The encouragement I received from staff and students was what helped me the most. They all had complete confidence in me, even when I didn’t have any in myself. It’s never too late and you’re never too old to do something you love, and that makes you happy. Now I spend my days at a career helping others and my nights being someone my family can be proud of. I wouldn’t change a thing, and all the hard work was worth it.
...the best decision I ever made.
First of all I would like to thank all of the staff at Valley during my nine months attending the HVAC program. Before coming to Valley I was working night shift at the casino and continued to do so after starting school. I was in between what I was wanting to do after getting out of the Airforce. So once I started school I knew it was the best decision I ever made. I now currently work for an HVAC company after only two short months of being out of school.
My life is so much better now.
When I started at Valley I was barely getting on by government assistance. It was a difficult 9 months, but with the encouragement of a fabulous staff, I persevered. The students have become like a family and my time spent at Valley College will always be treasured. I graduated on a Thursday and got hired on a Friday. My life is so much better now. I have a full time job with a plethora of benefits. Valley College gave me the knowledge and tools needed to better my life for me and my family.
Just 3 years ago I didn’t know how I was going to support my family. After graduating from Valley College I now have a dream job! Thank you Valley College for helping me achieve success.
I loved that I could start quickly. I was able to get started just 2 weeks after I met with admissions!
The entire team supported me here at Valley College. They all have a positive attitude, which makes you feel positive as well!
If I could give one piece of advice to someone considering Valley, it would be “Do it!” Valley College is the place to go. They will make sure you succeed.
